Do you know what Fair Trade is and how the Catholic Church's social justice teaching supports it? Would you like to find out? The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City organized a work shop called Works of Faith and Human Hands. The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services partnered together to focus on this important global issue. They invited parishes in the diocese who were geographically miles away from Oklahoma City and they attended the workshop via teleconference!
A consignment sale is the most popular way of supporting Fair Trade through Catholic Relief Services. Parishes can host a sale at virtually no cost to them. At the workshop you can receive materials how to organize a consignment sale and involve your parish and your local community. Click Here for the Website.
