Cody McCasland awarded the 2012 "Giuseppe Sciacca" prize.

  The international prize is given each year to people who in their lives or fields of activity have distinguished themselves as positive models in society.

The award ceremony took place in Rome's Pontifical Urban University on Nov. 10, 2012.  His positive attitude was fully reflected in his talk upon receiving the prize from the hands of the visibly moved Cardinal Castrillion Hoyos.  Amid loud applause, Cody said was thankful to God for what he had received from Him, considering it a "gift" rather than a "disability".
