In earlier messages to the visionaries of Medjugorje, Our Lady told them that her actual birth date is August 5, today! As Catholics we are not required to believe in approved apparitions of Our Lady. For those apparitions under investigation, the Church requires us to accept the final decision of the Church regarding the apparition. While the investigation of Medjugorje continues by the Vatican, we have been encouraged by Pope John Paul II to make pilgrimages to Medjugorje. He encouraged priests to visit the apparition site on more than one occasion.
